Dublin City Council Operations Depot & Civic Amenity Site

Signs Connect was awarded this major signage contract at Dublin City Council’s new operations depot and civic amenity site.  The site, extending to over 5-hectar acres, is located in Ballymun, Dublin overlooking the M50. 

Working with the main contractor Purcell Construction and JNP Architects, our Signs Connect Team contributed to the signage design, largely based on wayfinding signage we manufacture under the Connect brand.  

Utilising our express prototyping facility we progressed quickly to the sign-off stage to commence manufacturing working within DCC’s corporate guidelines to ensure we deliver within budget and to the Purcell Construction completion programme.

The signage package also encompassed external ID signage at high levels on the various buildings, including the main four-story Administration Building, Multi-storey Car Park, Garage Workshops, Salt Barn and Re-Cycling facilities. 

The project included Welcome totem signage and extensive signing of exterior vehicular routes. It also included internal wayfinding signage on the various buildings that was specifically designed to complement the modern building decor and fit-outs.
